28: Pure Enchantment with the 17-year-old New Zealand
singing sensation Hayley Westenra and UW-Madison tenor
James Doing.
This
concert will mark Hayley's U.S. orchestral debut.
The WCO has already received calls from people interested
in traveling from other states, such as Minnesota
and Michigan, for this concert.
The
program includes: Ravel, "Menuet Antique";
Bach/Gounod (arr. Rainey), "Ave Maria";
Lloyd Webber, "All I Ask of You"; Lloyd
Webber/arr. Marrett, "Time to Say Goodbye";

from "Tombeau de Couperin"; intermission;
Ravel, "Prelude" from "Tombeau de Couperin";
Vivaldi/arr. Class, "River of Dreams" ("Winter"
from "Four Seasons"); arr. Class, "Amazing
Grace"; Tchaikovsky, "Capriccio Italien."
